Blonds, Brunets or Red Heads?
My preference is brunette because they usually have a better personality.
Tosh.O is my favorite show. He is so funny. He makes me laugh.

Q&A interview with Davi
RESiN: What kind and size of bike do you ride currently?
DAVI JOHNSON: My favorite….2013 Yamaha YZ 250 two stroke. It’s the actual bike Thomas Pages rode at the 2013 Red Bull X Fighters at Glen Helen. So it’s a very special bike.
RESiN: Tell me about your first time on a bike.
DAVI JOHNSON: I was 5 yrs old and my mom and dad bought my sister and I a Yamaha PW50. It was great! I needed a few skills…that bike got away from me a few times.
RESiN: How long have you been riding Pro?
DAVI JOHNSON: Well I would say I’m on the bubble between Pro and Amateur. I have been working on the flip into the foam pit. Once I get the flip locked down and going to dirt I’ll call myself a Pro.
RESiN: Were you hooked right away?
DAVI JOHNSON: I would say so for sure. I really don’t know anything other than riding dirt bikes. This is the thing I love to do. My buddy Dave Segal took me to Travis Pastrana’s house for the weekend about 3 1/2 yrs ago. It changed my life. From that point on RACING WAS OUT….FREESTYLE WAS IN.
RESiN: What was the first huge trick you pulled?
DAVI JOHNSON: Well the biggest trick I have ever pulled was the Volt. It’s such a technical trick with so much going on with it. It always gives me an unsettled feeling before I throw it. It’s such a blind trick. Once you let go and rotate your committed and completely blind. I’m proud to be the youngest freestyle rider to land the Volt…and only being 1 of 5 riders in the world to do it to. That’s pretty cool.
RESiN: What trick are you working on now?
DAVI JOHNSON: Working on getting my rock solids and holy grabs bigger and more extended.
RESiN: Do you have any rituals before a competition?
DAVI JOHNSON: No. Not really. I just work really hard to be prepared. I get in a quiet place and go over my tricks and make sure I’m mentally and emotionally prepared. Mental toughness is so key.
RESiN: Do you have a particular competition strategy?
DAVI JOHNSON: Not really. I just work hard and train hard with Beast Mode on. And always remember to have fun.
RESiN: Any companies that you would like to add to your sponsorship list?
DAVI JOHNSON: Yes for sure. Red Bull…..because I’m convinced it gives me wings. Lol
I’m currently working on my flips and the body varial hoping to find new sponsorships and leveling up!
RESiN: When you cheat on your fitness program and eat something not healthy what is it?
DAVI JOHNSON: Whenever I cheat on my program I usually go to Del Taco and find anything that’s good. Lol. However I really like sushi from the Sushi Love Boat in Temecula, Ca
RESiN: If you could spend the day with any freestyle rider who would it be?
DAVI JOHNSON: I would have to say one of my heroes Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg. He is really cool, has a great personality, and he makes me laugh.
RESiN: What kind of music do you like best?
DAVI JOHNSON: Hair bands for driving down the road. But when I’m about to ride and wanna get into the zone I like Eminem or the group Swollen Members. That gets me going.
RESiN: Share a moment that you were particularly proud of yourself?
DAVI JOHNSON: One of my proudest moments is winning the AFMXA National Title in the novice class in 2010. I had only been riding freestyle for 9 months. The judges were Brian Deegan, Ronnie Faisst, Mike Metzger and so many more of my heros. It was an unbelievable moment.
Another epic moment was when I turned 17 yrs old. I was staying with Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg and for a birthday present he gave me one of his X Games helmets. I keep it close beside me.
RESiN: Where do you see yourself in the sport of FMX in 5 years?
DAVI JOHNSON: I would like to see myself doing Red Bull X Fighters, X Games, traveling around the world to Germany, Spain and so many other countries. I would like to ride with the best in the world and hopefully have some new progressive tricks.
RESiN: What do you do when not riding?
DAVI JOHNSON: I do puzzles on the days I don’t ride. It helps me relax.
RESiN: Who in all your crew do you wanna give a shout out to?
DAVI JOHNSON: Gotta give a big shout out to Sergio Guiducci, Charles Dao, Chris Tedesco, Eddie Casillas, Javier Villegas and my sister Michelle Johnson.
